Gulf Shores Summer Bucket List

84

Every vacation deserves a Bucket List.

Where you want to eat, what you want to do, where you want to play.

We have conducted our version of the perfect Summer Bucket List for vacationing in Gulf Shores.

We all have different priorities while on vacation, but if your priority is having as much fun as possible, this Summer Bucket List is for you.

  1. Parasailing
If you're looking for an exhilarating and adventurous activity while you visit the beach, look no further. Parasailing is blast and an unforgettable way to experience the Gulf Coast from a whole different perspective. Sail over the emerald coastline, gaze at the sea of colorful umbrellas and take in the beauty that lies beneath you. You can find parasailing companies along the beach and most likely get a same day reservation by simply approaching the attendant, or get ahead of the game and make a reservation by phone.

  2. Zip Lining at Gulf Adventure Center
Take a guided zip line tour over the beautiful Alabama State Park and Lake Shelby in Gulf Shores. Zip lining can be thrilling all the while educational, and the guides at Gulf Adventure Center do a great job of combining the two. This is a great activity for the whole family, adults and kids of all ages.

  3. The Little Zoo That Could
The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, better known as "The Little Zoo That Could" was featured in an Animal Planet original series following Hurrican Ivan. The zoo is the perfect way to spend the day with smaller children (or children at heart).

  4.  Fort Morgan
Built on the site of previous Fort Bowyer, which stood guard of Mobile Bay during the War of 1812. Fort Morgan was built between 1819 and 1833 and was a crucial asset during the Battle of Mobile Bay in August 1864. It was also utilized during the Spanish American War, World War I and World War II. Fort Morgan is not a place just for the history buffs, though, as there are many nature walks, a boat launch, and beaches that surround the peninsula on all sides.

  5. Lunch at LuLu's
An afternoon spent at Lulu Buffet's famous restaurant is an exciting afternoon for everyone. There is plenty for the kids to do while you wait for your food or if you're just wanting to sit back, relax and enjoy a refreshing beverage with your toes in the sand without having to hear them begging you to hurry up and take them back to play in the lazy river at your condo. Lulu's is the perfect place to enjoy an "island" style lunch outing.
