5 Reasons to Come to the Beach in July!

To us July is one of the best months of the year. There is so much to celebrate, kids are out of school and the weather is nice and warm making it perfect for beach days! Over the last week we thought about the reasons why we like to come to the beach in July and we had 5 pretty awesome reasons! 

Our first reason is longer days. In July the sun rises around 6 am and sets around 8 pm giving us 14 hours to enjoy all that the Gulf Coast has to offer. 14 hours to enjoy a summer day? We’ll take it! Having longer days in July opens up more time for us to enjoy our other 4 reasons why we like to come to the beach in July. Who doesn’t love a good BBQ? Whether you’re throwing burgers, hotdogs or seafood on the grill, nothing beats a barbecue while on vacation at the beach. After spending the day at the beach or the pool the best way to wind down is to grill out at pool side grills or on your own balcony! BBQ’s are even more awesome when you can have them on the 4th of July! Number three on our list of reasons to come to the beach in July is fireworks! The Gulf Coast has numerous Independence Day celebrations! After your cookout you can catch one of the celebrations at the Wharf in Orange Beach, AL or see the firework display from the public beach in Gulf Shores. We may even have some condos available where you can sit on your private balcony and enjoy the show! Another way to take advantage of the longer days in July is reason number four, water activities. There is so much to enjoy here on the Gulf Coast when it comes to water activities. You can go boating around Perdido Pass, parasail, practice those boogey boarding skills or even take a dolphin cruise! The possibilities are endless! Last on our list of reasons but certainly not the least important is the US Navy Blue Angels! You definitely won’t want to miss their annual summer airshow on Pensacola Beach. You can travel by boat and enjoy the show from the water or travel by car and spend the day on the beach while watching the Angels fly!
