(5/5 stars) The Brookhaven was a beautiful cottage. We absolutely loved our stay at this Orange Beach cottage! The pools were just a short walk away, and having a cabana included made it even better. We woke up around 8 AM, unpacked in our cabana, and spent the morning relaxing in the lazy river. The beach was also an easy walk, although there is a shuttle available if you prefer not to walk. And the water slide was shockingly fun—even the adults loved it! Such a great place for families and a relaxing beach getaway. (5/5 stars) I cannot rave enough about this place and we are super picky about rentals.We loved everything about the casita, the "neighborhood" and the amenities! We normally insist on staying right on the beach but did not miss it one bit, staying in BVR. We enjoyed the jeep pick up and drop off from our door step, when we did want to go to the beach but we spent most of our time in the pool and lazy river and loved having our own cabana. Both of our kids loved it too (they are 14 and 20) so not little kids but still enjoyed the pool area, movie nights, bingo and live music by the pool. Nowhere we have ever stayed had fun activities like this and it never felt crowded, even when it was. The Brookhaven is gorgeous. Decorated beautifully, stocked with anything you would need, beds were super comfortable, a/c worked great and it was so clean! It was also a quick walk to the pool so it was easy to go back and forth as needed. With 2 adults and 6 kids (ages 5-10) we had just enough space without it being too much space and everything we needed and also in a great location. The kids loved the pool and lazy river so much we spent more time there than at the beach! It really was quite relaxing and they were super excited about the slide. We didn’t end up walking to the beach when we did go because it did seem a bit hazardous since it was a main busy road to cross (with 6 kids), but it was a quick 5 minute drive to and park at two of the beach access areas. We did see some people walking but we just decided it was not a good idea for us. The house was clean and as described and check-in and out were a breeze. The beach village is gated and is just a cute little set up. I also happened to meet the developer and and the property manager one day while at the pool and they were just the nicest!
