We had four kids and four adults so the bunk bed room worked out great. The condo is very nice and has a large living / dining area. Just a couple of things to note that shouldn’t be seal breakers but nice to know ahead of time…they have no board games or card games or any sort of toys for the children. There aren’t even any books to read which normally wouldn’t be a problem but if the weather isn’t great, there is NO entertainment in the condo. They could use a few more serving platters/utensils and some plastic drink ware as everything they have right now is glass. We tried during Covid and several units were just not renting. We chose this one based on price, location and we'd heard great things from other people. Check in was super easy. The unit is huge and has great views. I'll list the pros first; clean, amazing views, plenty of space outside for everyone to do what they want, proximity to beach and really the entire stay was great.Cons: furniture in the den is very uncomfortable and it was missing an entire piece that was shown in the pictures. Jets in master tub did not work, multiple outlets were not working, bulbs were out, remote in master bedroom was corroded, spare toilet sounded like a foghorn, the washing machine sounds like it's about to take off it's so loud, dishwasher soap dispenser doesn't open so I was tossing the pods in the bottom (that cleaned everything flawlessly). Maintenance addressed everything promptly when I reached out, but it was only a temporary fix. He mistakenly took the dish remote to one of the bedrooms and never brought it back even after I asked them. The kitchen/ no potholders, no extra kitchen linens, tried to use the mixer and it wouldn't work, no large rectangular cooking sheets. The only one large enough was round and too big and it prevented the oven door from closing and the Keurig leaked everywhere. The various pools were amazing for the age ranges of of children (15 months to 16). The beach is a hike, but access is available through the resort. The condo itself was immaculate. He loved it! He really enjoyed being able to run around the room. There isn’t anything dangerous in the room and that was great! Most cabinets were empty so he didn’t bother anything. We enjoyed going to all the pools on the property and going to the beach. We came during the perfect week. It wasn’t crowded and we mainly got to stay to ourselves which was great when you are trying to protect a baby from sickness. We will definitely stay here again! - Kimberly P. The resort was basically empty the third/fourth week in August - we had every pool to ourselves mid week…it was unreal! The elevators were amazingly fast, the gym was great. Kids loved fishing in the marina area, the pools were amazing like an inclusive resort . Disappointed in the beach because it was a long walk after the trolley to get to if you want to play in the waves. The Bay Area is very easy access but there are no waves & it’s just like a lake. It would have been nice to have a binder in room w/ instructions on condo layout & tips & accessibility.. takes awhile to figure out - taking difficulty elevators etc. & about local area . Ive always had this in other condos I’ve stayed at. The resort is very rundown & in need of a facelift everywhere , pools were extremely dirty, I don’t think they were cleaned the entire week we were there - we were stepping on bottle caps, debris etc the entire time in pool. The condo was clean and communication from the property manager was always ahead of the game and super welcoming. There were 5 adults and 2 kids and we had plenty of space for lounging and cooking when we weren't down at the pool or beach. I did not like having to check in offsite. Also, check to see that they give you two keys before you leave. Once we got to the room, I realized we only got one key and had to return for another. Not a dealbreaker, but an annoyance. The kids enjoyed the mini pools on the property which were clean and well-maintained and offered plenty of seating. We also enjoyed the gift shop and the snack bar which also served alcoholic drinks. We also enjoyed dinner at Cobalt. But be prepared to wait! Their hours are stated as closing at 9 PM, we left at 10:45 PM. The food is excellent though and the ambience is outstanding. Just don’t go to the beach. It is a public beach that they cart you to and drop you off. Then return to pick you up. Not terrible. But just a warning to people with children. Do not go to this beach unless you’re looking for a spring break vibe! I am not a prude by any means, but I don’t want my kids seeing intoxication to the point of falling over and people having sex, literally! It was insane! I saw things that I’ve never seen and I’m almost 40 years old! So, would definitely stay at the property again, but would never go back to the beach! Orange beach used to be a family destinations.
