(5/5 stars) We’ve been coming to Gulf Shores for over 35 years and has become our winter escape. We’ve stayed in many different condos through the years but the Lighthouse has been our “home” for the past 15 years. As our needs have changed and owners buying and selling, we’ve had both 2 and 3 bedrooms. This is our first winter in unit 1605 and it is great! Love the location with beautiful views from the balcony which also has some of the best outdoor furniture we’ve ever had. Sunrise and sunsets are awesome. The lack of a roof over the balcony is no problem as there’s always a corner you can find for shade and it allows so much light into the condo. If we were to be here in the heat of summer, it may not be so welcome. The unit is well stocked but still room enough in cabinets for our own supplies. The furniture is good, bed comfortable, and decor pleasant. We hope to continue our “snowbird” season of life in this unit for many years to come. Because of how the unit was angled, we got to see the sun rise in the morning and the sun set in the evening. The building is non-smoking, which is a huge benefit for us. When we had an issue with a chain smoker on the balcony beneath us, both the onsite security and Liquid Life (the property manager) took our concerns seriously and responded right away.
