The only things were that the paint on one of the dining stools was either not dry or didn’t cure well…and we noticed at the end of our stay that we had red paint on the bottom of a couple pairs of shorts (by accident, really). We set the stool aside. Probably used the wrong type of paint for the purpose. Also, our door code quit working at about 8:00 AM or so…but checkout is supposed to be 10:00 AM. Collectively, this wax a great condo though and we would definitely recommend it to anyone else going to the Lighthouse. Our familys favorite part had to be the outdoor dinner table. We ate all of our in room meals on the balcony at this table while watching the ocean waves. The Gulf Shores pier is about 1/2 mile from condo. We walked to it twice. You can rent poles for pier fishing. Being on the ninth floor, I assumed we'd have to wait a bit for elevators, but they were pretty quick. I'm not sure if I was dealing with an individual owner, or a management group but they were responsive when I asked a question about what kind of coffee maker was in the room. Unfortunately, they were unable to confirm whether it was a keurig or drip coffee maker, but I appreciated the honesty and quick response! The kids loved the bunk beds. The beaches were clean & beautiful with clear water & white sand. All the condos at light house have a big balcony facing the beach, so we slept, ate and relaxed to the sound of the ocean the whole time. If you do all your grocery shopping before you get there, you won’t want to leave for a few days. Most of the attractions and restaurants were 5-30 minutes away & easy to drive to. The condo hosts were in constant contact with me, but I didn’t need anything because everything was provided and worked properly. The air conditioning in this building is bad, its probably my biggest complaint, I know its August, it was hot but we kept the curtains pulled and the doors shut and still never got below 76, I was sleeping on top of the covers the entire time.
