Adventuring at the Gulf Coast Zoo!

We hope your summer has been full of bright memories and time with your friends and family. Whether you are already on the beach or coming soon – you’re wondering what you can do here, right?

Here is an idea for you – the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo! It is a great place to go with kids, friends, parents, or anyone. They just moved to a new 25-acre home and host many exotic animals, such as lions, tigers, giraffes, reptiles, kangaroos, lemurs and many others. During spring and summer seasons, you can even see interactive animal shows! The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo’s mission is to create mesmerizing experiences that connect people with wildlife and inspire them to take responsibility for the environment we live in.

Even during rainy days, you’ll enjoy the zoo! The animals are active, and the staff is very accommodating to rescheduling encounters due to the weather. The zoo is not big, but it’s clean and has easy access to everything. The animals are well cared for and provided with great habitats. It is refreshing to see that each animal has their very own water feature if they become too hot! It’s easy to spend several hours walking around and enjoying the zoo. Lemurs are different colors, giraffes are very curious because they hope you’ll feed them, black bear Boodah sits as close as he can to the fence to interact with the guests. Also, the restaurant attached to the zoo is well worth it. (You can even visit the restaurant without admission to the zoo!) And there are even coupons at the Welcome Center!
