We thought the place was extremely nice. We would definitely stay there again. Only negative I would say. If you stay during the winter months it gets extremely cold downstairs. The unit is upstairs not downstairs. For it to be warm downstairs you can???t go upstairs is just too hot

Of course our stay was not during the peak of summer but the property, its design and amenities, and its location...it was all pretty ideal for a tranquil and relaxing stay. The view of the salt marsh and cordgrass just outside of the back screened in porch was a favorite morning retreat for a little nature time with our morning cutoff coffee. The pool seemed ideal for young families with children as it also afforded the adults a really nice covered space with widescreen tv's for football games and staging areas for food. The public bathrooms there .were exceptionally clean. The entire facility is gated and so there is that added sense of security. And the property is situated minutes from the many longstanding and celebrated as the best area restaurants. Not to mention, public access to the state park beach is just up the street. We came for some much needed rest and relaxation and we found it. We will definitely be back.

Complex is in a perfect location- quiet and right next door to a great seafood mkt. The unit was super clean, comfortable beds, perfect proximity to the pool. The screened back porch was our favorite space. Loved sitting outside listening to and watching birds, chatting, and seeing Mr Gator swish by. He turns toward you if you call him! The property pool is beautiful and inviting, perfect for both young and older. Also enjoyed being able to walk right into Gulf State Park and enjoy the trails. We did have some trouble with the electronics on the dishwasher going into a constant beeping mode, and the management co. said they would send someone out next day, but it was actually the following day. I would also suggest to the mgmt co. to have cleaning crew routinely check that tv remotes are working (batteries not dead) and the light over the stove is not burnt out. This seems to be a very common; this is a recurring problem with rentals in general and this one was no exception. Overall fantastic stay!! We hope to come back.

We had a relaxing and peaceful time. It was too short. I enjoy access to the state park and beach access. Love the screened in porch, a nice surprise seeing the alligator in the wetlands. Looking forward to my next trip.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely love BVR. The location is great in terms of proximity to food, shopping, etc in the area. The shuttle was very nice to have (thank you for that!) when trying to bring all of our things to the beach with a 4 year old. For the price point, it would be nice to have more than one garbage bag, laundry pod, etc. Especially since washing towels daily is a must for a family of 4. And having a roll of foil, cling wrap, etc is very much needed. And at least salt, pepper, Pam spray, etc would be nice (of course not all the spices, but just those couple of basics). We loved the pool area and everything was just beautiful. LOVE the condo, it was absolutely gorgeous and so nicely decorated!!

We always let guests know in their paperwork about the basic needs such as soaps, paper products and detergents. Luckily the property is very convenient to several stores who offer all of this supplies. Thank you staying with us and please come back again!

Hi Michelle, so glad you loved Beach Village Resort and casita #13 The Orange Dolphin! It truly is the newest gem on our Gulf Coast! Because we are on an island, many of the homes are on a very fragile grinder pump septic system. These are often not forgiving with garbage disposals in the kitchen. The grease and oil in foods have a tendency to clog the lines, hence no sink disposals. While we understand your input, scraping leftovers into the garbage can is a small task to complete while enjoying our resort. Thanks for staying with us and we hope you'll come back soon!

We booked three houses right next to each other and had a wonderful time! Each family had their own space but the kitchen/dining in each house as well as the porches, and common BVR areas let us all be together. The pool and access to the trail are both invaluable to us. It was a great trip with the family and we look forward to doing it again soon!
