This was our third and longest stay (a week) for the third consecutive year, and it was the best yet. Dozens of dolphin sightings, jumping schools of manta rays, even a fair sized shark swimming in the shallows! Amazing weather; several days of crystal clear water. The townhouse was in great shape this year, and communication was phenomenal. The best deal in the region. We had the greatest time--pure bliss. That said, we were stunned once we arrived to see that the beach had lost maybe 30-50 yards of sand in front of the gulf facing balcony in the course of one year. At high tide, the water literally was over the end of the boardwalk and was eating into the townhomes' protected dunes, which were partially gone. Although we've already booked up for a week during the summer of 2025, we're concerned that the townhome won't be there in a year if coastal erosion continues at this rapid pace. We spoke to half a dozen families who had the same concern and expressed dismay the day they arrived after being gone for a year. To management: what are your plans for coastal restoration both in the short term and long term right around the townhouse units? We would hate to see Surf Song and the other beach facing units become uninhabitable. Fingers crossed that there's a way to mitigate this problem, and thanks in advance.

Federal and State have approved funds for beach improvements. They dredged sand this year and got another 10 feet of beach. Just life on the beach a storm came the day equipment was moved out and took away about 3 feet of the beach. Local official has reapplied for funds to rebuild the beach again.

This was our 2nd stay in Surf Song. The location can’t be beat- a couple steps from the door to the sand makes carrying beach gear easy! Also, the privacy here beats Gulf Shores public beaches by a LONG SHOT. We saw dolphins and the big blue heron from the balcony and went searching for ghost crabs at night. It’s a little bit of a drive to Gulf Shores & those restaurants, but there are a few local that we tried to stay close. We’ve already booked Surf Song for 2025. There’s definitely a reason people book this townhome a year in advance! Thank you!

This townhome is a GEM of Fort Morgan. The location cannot beat: no shoes needed as you are STEPS away from the sand and gulf. We spotted DOZENS of dolphins as well as a few big blue herons …all from our balcony! The communication and prompt responses from both VRBO and Gulf2Beach were amazing. Within 10 minutes of walking in we rebooked for next March! Very clean with all the amenities. Exactly what we hoped for and more. Our only negative was we got there early and spent the day on the beach waiting til 4:00 to check in but were told if it was done early we would be contacted. Well at 1:00 it was ready and we waited around for nothing. Also very hard trying to figure how to rent S2 3 or 4 for family next year. That being said, we LOVED S 1 and hope to come back every year! The property was nicely located on the beach but somewhat far from larger grocery stores and restaurants. This wasn’t an issue for us. My only complaint was the one of the neighboring units allowed smoking on the balcony and we could smell cigarette smoke if we were out at the same time. The unit we rented was nicely furnished and the kitchen was nicely equipped. We got groceries at the sassy bass down the street when we needed to cook. All in all it was a very pleasant stay.

We arrived and easy to look on the app and received text to check in and it was so nice and easy! 2 steps to the sand , 30 steps to the water. We were able to bring our sweet dog and it was the most perfect vacation for us! Our whole little family was able to be together away from home! So quiet and peaceful ! The first evening we arrived, we were stunned to be able to see the Milky Way in the night sky. Having no high rises meant much less light and less people, which is exactly what we wanted. Oil rigs and tankers did mar the horizon a bit, but the peace and beauty and tranquility of the area more than compensated. The water? The first two days it was crystal clear--as clear as I've ever seen the surrounding waters. We could watch schools of fish swimming though the waves all day long. The beach was lovely as well, with many protected dunes. We now know our dog loves the beach too--everything about it. As for the unit itself, just exceptional. I've never stayed anywhere so close to the Gulf. The Gulf sights and sounds were magnificent and awe inspiring every single day from multiple balconies. Everything was clean, stocked and comfortable. We could hear kids from the next door unit running up and down the stairs, but other than that we might as well have been in our own beachhouse. I think after a day into our trip, we signed up for a 2023 beach trip around the same time. Everything was already booked up but a five day window, and I'm not surprised. This is an absolute gem and incredibly affordable given what you get for your money. Just exceptional. We're grateful and can't wait to return!

It was very clean and well equiped. Really loved being able to sit on the balcony and overlook the beach. The only thing that needs attention is the entry door is starting to rust and the door knob is very loose can't tighten the screws up. Of course it has a deadbolt lock as well. Other than that we will look forward to coming back and would recommend this unit.

The condo was perfect! We’ve stayed in this unit once or twice before, but this time it had received a total makeover!!! We were worried it wouldn’t be ready in time due to hurricane sally damage, but it couldn’t be better! Our yorkie loves coming to the beach, and we love that this rental is pet friendly. I cannot say enough good things about Christy at Gulf 2 Beach. She was so helpful and thorough. She went above and beyond to assist me to prepare for our trip. My oldest friend and I booked a long 'girls' weekend and stayed Thurs thru Monday morning.. The booking and check-in process went smoothly and we were happy with the town house and the gorgeous beach that we had almost completely to ourselves. This is MY FAULT, since it was my first time in the area and didn't ask, but this townhouse is about a 25 minute drive from "Gulf Shores". It says Baldwin County in the title block, which I THOUGHT was Gulf Shores. I didn't realize that it is actually Ft Morgan, but it ended up being exactly what I needed. It was very private and quiet. There weren't a lot of restaurants or stores in the immediate area. There is a restaurant called Tacky Jack's that is within a mile or so and a few more within 5-6 miles as well as the Sassy Bass Market also within that range. This wasn't a problem for us, but I thought it is worth mentioning to anyone who likes to eat out every night. When we went to the grocery store in Gulf Shores the round trip drive was 50 mins with NO traffic. My stay was in between Mardi Gras and Spring Break, so I don't know how much traffic exists during busier seasons. This was a newly built townhouse, very clean, and was very well supplied with glasses and dishes, etc bath towels, soaps, and even beach chairs and noodles in the shed. The neighbors were friendly when we saw one, but that was rare. I enjoyed the privacy and space. The first evening I was there I texted the property contact about a light that was flickering a little as a non-emergency, and they responded right away. The next day I tried to use the TV in the living room and spent an hour trying to figure it out. I texted the contact - again as a non-emergency - and asked if there is a trick to getting it to work. I received no text back. I texted again the last day that we were there and also no response. Because I wasn't too concerned about TV and the bedroom TVs worked fine, I still consider this a 5-star stay. I think it is a perfect place for groups of 2 - 6 people, and I would stay there again if I vacation in the area.

Great stay at this very spacious and clean vacation home. It's right on the beach and we will come back again. It was very dog friendly, had all the things we needed in the kitchen and had up to date appliances. Lots of light and multiple balconies. Loved it being on two levels. If you are looking for quiet, this is the place as it is at the far end of Fort Morgan and 2 miles from the Ferry. It's a 20 mile drive for shopping and activities but there are two Dollar General's along the way if you need anything. We had some access issues with the internet but this is related to the internet provider and not the host.

We were warned priori to arrival that they were working on the outside of the townhomes and given the option to move to another location, but with it being Christmas week we opted to stay since we figured they wouldn’t be working much. And we were right!We will be back in the spring to this amazing location. Looking forward to our next visit.

This place is a slice of paradise. It's away from the thick of the city. We loved the peacefulness of the surroundings and the big balconies made it hard to stay inside. This unit has everything you need to make for a comfortable stay. It has plenty of room and big beds. There's a nice stash of beach gear from toys to chairs. The renovation from the storm damage has been well done. Housekeeping does an amazing job. You would never know this was a pet friendly unit. However, I will give a warning. Be sure to get more groceries than you think you need. A quick trip to the grocery store doesn't exist. Be prepared to cook as going out to eat is limited without driving a good distance. This is something we should have looked into more before we went. I do recommend taking a day to go see Fort Morgan and catching the ferry over to Dauphin Island.

Everything was great, clean and cozy. We loved the fact it was right at the beach! The only issue we had was when we got there was trouble finding it...they told us to look for the sign with the name on it but there was not a sign but I'm sure they will get that fix.

Surf song is just what my husband and I needed. It was a last minute trip and mid July so we didn’t think we would find a place to stay directly on the beach but this place popped up. Way more rooms than we needed but the direct access to the beach was what we LOVED!! The space is also well decorated and clean! We will definitely be back!

First time to Fort Morgan, and it did not disappoint. Surf Song was the perfect place to stay with 2 small kids and our sweet little lab. Easy walk to the beach and two restaurants not far away. First time I’ve ever noticed stars at night at the beach. Less people and no high rises makes for a nice quiet escape! We will be back! Found my new favorite place to stay.

This property is simply amazing. You really can't get closer to the ocean. It has everything you need for an amazing vacation. The property management is top notch. We had a small issue with one of the televisions and they were there within the hour and had it corrected. We stayed for two weeks and hated to go home! What a relaxing vacation. You won't go wrong with this property and Fort Morgan Al. Thanks again we will be back next year!

We rented this condo and another in the same building in May 2019. We were so impressed with the quality of Surf Song, they maintain it very well. And it was stocked with everything we could ask for! I can think of nothing I would expect differently from a vacation condo. The beach is so crowd free and quiet and the location is isolated but easily accessible. There is everything you need to cook any meal including a crockpot. You might want to bring a throw blanket if you like to settle on the couch at night bc there isn’t anything small to use. Some beach toys and an umbrella are there as well. There is a hose to use as well to spray off each night. Couldn’t ask ask for anything better especially for the price and location!

It's closer to the water than all of the surrounding properties, so it was great for our older parents, and for running back to the condo to get snacks and supplies. Also, the beach is dog friendly! Our dogs had a blast dashing around on the sand. The condo is decorated super cute and beachy, and was very clean. The beach was not crowded, and the pool was very nice also. Cons - this condo is not as updated as some of the ones you'd find in the high rises. The guardrail, both on the decks and the interior stair, is not safe for babies/toddlers. Our 5 year old was fine, but the spaces between the guardrails are larger than current code allows. The nearest grocery store is 20 miles away, so bring everything you need. The water wasn't as clear as you'd find farther East. Overall, the proximity to the beach, the beautiful white sand, lack of crowds, and accepting dogs, are a combination you won't find elsewhere. We will be back, and I would recommend this condo to my friends.

It is the closest property to the water on this stretch of beach near Fort Morgan and was very clean for our arrival. So great to be able to sit on the deck and watch the kids play on the beach and the dolphins play in the ocean. The kitchen had everything we needed to include a crockpot. The unit is pet friendly, without the pet smell. Our dog loved daily walks on the pet friendly beach. Another great surprise was the storage closet underneath the unit. It was filled with all the beach toys your kids will need. Buckets and shovels for sand castles, boogie boards and inflatables for the ocean, a chair and umbrella for the beach. Would definitely book again on a return trip.

This unit was by far the cleanest we have ever stayed in and all the accommodations were everything we needed. Had a little issue with the TV/WiFi, but finally had it working.Visited several restaurants in the area and liked The Oyster House the best, Sassy Bass was pretty good, especially being so close, and Desoto's was so-so.We definitely see Surf Song in our future trips to the beach.Can't say enough about the property mgmt, they were great.

My recomendation though is to hit a,grocery,store on the way in, and stay on the open beach and watch the dolphins swim by

Manager came by to check if anything was needed and was very prompt if anything requested. Beach was clean and not crowded. My family (7 of us) had a fantastic time and didn't want to come home! The room layout was perfect for my daughter/son-in-law and three grandsons upstairs and me/husband on lower floor! Balconies off every bedroom was great especially in the evening. Must eat at Lambert's for more than you can eat and the boys loved the flying rolls. Still eating fish caught while deep sea fishing! We are absolutely going back next summer!! Highly recommended!

The kitchen was well stocked, even for the 2 chefs in our family. We cooked almost every day. If you are looking for activities in town it is a little out there for driving in every day. But if you want to just enjoy the beach and bay, it is perfect. The guys finished from the surf and caught several. And you really cannot get any closer to the beach. Overall, our stay was fantastic!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location, directlyl on the beach, was fantastic! The townhouse itself is cozy. It is clean, and had pretty much everything we needed. My only recommendation would be to add some throw rugs (to help capture sand before it gets everywhere). The seating area is small with 6 people, but the seating on the balconies makes up for it. Overall we had a great time and would recommend to others!

In addition, this unit accommodates our 13 1/2 year old dog, who has the best time playing on the beach. Reviewer Comments: The rental was just as described....right on the beach, great to be able to hose off our feet on the carport under the rental before going upstairs! The pool was perfect too. A wonderfully quiet beach for high rise condos. The four stars in my review reflect the age of the townhouse....salt air will quickly age anything....don't let this make you not consider this unit....being on the beach is so much better than hauling all of your beach stuff on and off the beach each day...here you can leave it on the beach at night!

A couple of items to note: the charcoal grill was very disappointing. It was almost completely rusted through. We had a hard time getting the vent open to get enough air to keep the charcoal lit. I would recommend replacing this. It would also be nice if someone would clean up the sea weed on the beach. The beach was somewhat dirty the entire week we were there. There was also a problem with what looked like roaches coming in around the patio door in the living room at night. We actually saw them come in by the door. We killed 2-3 a night. The beds were very comfortable and we were able to get a good rest while we were there. We also loved having a fully stocked kitchen and washer and dryer. We would definitely return in the future. I have already recommended Surf Song to a friend. Thank you! Candace

I particularly appreciated the outdoor furniture which allowed us to see over the deck railing. We would have liked to stay next winter but were very disappointed to hear the owners decided not to rent the unit by the month. It was a cold winter but we weren't shoveling snow. PS: I don't know who "& is," but I couldn't remove it.

This townhome was awesome! It was just a few feet from the gulf and not overcrowded with other vacationers. The townhome was very clean and I have never seen such a fully stocked kitchen in a rental! This was the perfect place for our multi-generational family to enjoy the beauty of Fort Morgan. Property was clean, orderly, and as described. Well equipped kitchen with an abundance of plates and glasses, and plenty of towels and bedding. The management was very responsive, even returning an e-mail at 8:30 at night to answer a question I had about the property. We did not find a single thing that did not work in the property. Our only complaint, and this may be more of a cleaning service issue that a management issue, is that there were only two rolls of toilet paper in the place upon arrival, and no extra can liners for the trash can.
