Beach Tips for Your Spring Vacation on the Gulf Coast!

30

Are you planning your Spring Break visit to the Gulf Coast & need a few tips on how to make the most of your beach vacation? We are here for you! We have ideas for you on everything from what to pack to safe swimming and beach warning flags. Take a deep breath and start counting down the days until you get to put your toes in the sand, because the Liquid Life team is here to make your vacation planning as seamless as possible!

Wondering what to bring with you on your Gulf Coast vacation? Here are a few suggestions of some things you might not have thought of:

•  Large Beach Umbrellas: Bring these instead of tents! They are easier to carry and store.

Beach Chairs with Storage Compartments: These are great for snacks, beach reads or toys for the kiddos!

Coolers with Large Wheels: Staying hydrated is important when you are spending a day on the beach, so coolers are a must. Just remember to bring one with large wheels so ut can handle the sand!

Wagons: These are entertaining for the kids and a super easy way to transport toys and floats.

Insulated Drinkware: It keeps your drinks cool longer and keeps plastic bottles off of our beaches!

Sunglasses & Hats: These will keep the sun out of your eyes and off of your face and well as keeping you stylish for all those Instagram beach selfies!

Sunscreen: This is absolutely the most important thing you can bring with you to the beach - and don't forget the tops of your feet! Keep your skin healthy and feeling good. Protect it with sunscreen with at least 30-50 spf.

We know you're excited to dive into action, but take a wise tip from the locals and know the meanings of beach safety flags, which are posted at all public beaches. See below for a complete list of flag meanings:

- Green: Low Hazard (Calm Conditions, Exercise Caution)

- Yellow: Medium Hazard (Moderate Surf and Currents)

- Red: High Hazard (High Surf & Strong Currents)

- Double Red: Water Closed to the Public

- Purple: Danger Marine Life

Swimming in the Gulf is much different from swimming in a pool. It is important to respect the strength of the sea and the marine life that lives there by following your beach flags!
