Best Waterfront Restaurants on the Gulf Coast

17

Our guests at Liquid Life love to eat at our area's awesome restaurants when visiting the Gulf Coast.

It's nice to take a break from cooking a meal while you are on vacation - even though you'll always have the option to do so since our premium beach homes and luxury condos have fully-equipped kitchens. Many properties even feature outdoor grills.

However, no one can resist the local seafood at one of our area's waterfront restaurants. There's just something about being seated in a restaurant on the water with the smell of salty air and views of the water glimmering with the sun's reflection. Here are a few of our favorite waterfront gems on the Gulf Coast beaches extending from Gulf Shores to Perdido Key.

1. The Gulf

The epitome of all that is Gulf-front dining, The Gulf in Orange Beach is located at Perdido Pass and offers a unique dining experience. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, good tunes, beautiful views and a unique design made of recycled shipping containers.

Enjoy fresh oysters, shrimp, fish tacos or a burger from the bar, a communal table or even a relaxed seat with your toes in the sand. Open daily for lunch and dinner.

2. Fisher's Dockside at Orange Beach Marina

A must-do on your trip to the Gulf, visit Fisher's at Orange Beach Marina for amazing food and great views. You'll need to call ahead for dockside seating, but you won't regret visiting this spot. With a thoughtful design, relaxed atmosphere and open layout, it's the perfect choice for everyone.

With a menu of original recipes, Fisher's offers anything your taste buds could desire for lunch and dinner. Brunch is even offered on Sundays!

3. Cobalt the Restaurant

The perfect way to dine waterfront on the Gulf, Cobalt sits under the Perdido Bay Bridge next to Caribe Resort. A view of the Perdido Pass is visable from every table - inside or out. While tons of delicious seafood is served here for lunch and dinner, Cobalt is known for their pizzas, the perfect choice for lunch during a day on the water.

You can even walk up to Cobalt directly from the Perdido Pass public beach access.

4.  Sea-N-Suds Restaurant & Oyster Bar

Sea-N-Suds is a landmark of sorts on the Gulf Coast area - known for its famous oysters and pier out onto the Gulf. The outdoor seating offers a fantastic view of both the Gulf and the beaches. There's plenty of choices for the whole family at Sea-N-Suds, even offering hamburgers, hot dogs and popcorn chicken for the little ones.

5. The Hangout

Lastly, what would a list of waterfront restaurants be without The Hangout in Gulf Shores. This famous restaurant is known for its annual music festival and fun atmosphere, but it also has killer views of the Gulf. Sitting right on the beach, you can walk straight up to The Hangout from the water to enjoy lunch, a drink or even some live music.

Visiting one of our country's most beautiful beaches is what brings you here in the first place. How awesome is it that our beautiful Gulf Coast comes complete with delicious dining experiences on the water! Is your tummy growling yet? Enjoy!
