A Day in the Life of a Liquid Life Intern: Best Spots on the Gulf for Your Perfect Vacay Photos

1

Aloha! My name is Audra Grace, and I am one of the summer interns here at Liquid Life Vacation Rentals. I am a Louisiana State University tiger majoring in Digital Advertising. GEAUX TIGERS! I am originally from central Louisiana, so the heat here is nothing new to me. To be here in Orange Beach is not only a summer-long vacation getaway, but it is a huge opportunity for me!

I am so excited to spend my summer helping others enjoy their vacation to its fullest potential in whatever way I can. In order to show your friends and family all the fun you’ve had, you’ll want to have photo evidence that you hit all of the interesting spots here on the island. Here (just for you guys!) are a few of my favorite sights on our little slice of heaven.

All along our beautiful shores are fun locations to spice up your Instagram and Facebook posts. While on vacation, everyone brings their most fabulous swimsuits and beachy outfits. Those cute outfits were meant to be seen, and here are a few locations along our shores that are more than just what people are expecting to see on your profile - aka that group picture standing on the beach wearing coordinating outfits.

1. The Lemur Encounter at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo - For all the animal lovers and adventurous folks looking for an exotic experience to add to your memories here, our local zoo offers face-to-(furry)-face encounters with our preciouis lemurs. During this encounter, you will be able to hold them and snap some of the wild times that these lemurs will bring to your trip.

2. Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier - A stroll above the waves and wildlife of the Gulf is the kind of peace that everyone comes to the beach to experience. Take a few shots of the wind blowing through your hair while you look out into the unknown (Queen Elsa style). If you are lucky, you may even see a local fisherman catch a long-awaited fish!

3. Ferris Wheel at the Wharf - Oh what a sight to see! This eye-catching attraction is perfect for a nighttime vibe to add to your photo collection of your visit. After looking out over the marina on the ferris wheel, you can hit up a few shops along the boardwalk of The Wharf to find a snazzy outfit for your next night on the town!

4. The Hangout - That famous picture standing next to the giant hang loose hand sculpture at The Hangout is tradition when coming to visit Gulf Shores! This famous venue has events all summer for your family to enjoy and plenty of opportunities for beach-aesthetic photos.

5. The Yard Milkshake Bar - If you are looking for a Pinterest-worthy post, this is the place to go! The Yard is famous for their photogenic milkshakes and will show your followers on social media that you are not only having fun, but you are also eating at all of the adorable & oh-so-tasty hot spots.

6. The Gulf Restaurant - Sitting alongside Perdido Pass in Orange Beach, The Gulf Restaurant has not only amazing food and catch-of-the-day but unforgettable sunset views! After you take a picture of your beautifully plated food, head over to the sand and take a picture standing next to the painted horizon. If you have a billion of those sunset pictures already, get dressed in your favorite sundress or khakis and take a few lounging on the white couches in the sand.

7. Brew Ha Ha - Postcards used to be the way to let your family know what you were up to while you were out exploring the world, nowadays we text a few of our favorite pictures instead! At Brew Ha Ha in Pensacola, you will get the best of both worlds with their mural designed to look like what you would see on a postcard. Not only do they have this mural that catches your friends & followers eyes, but they also have props, such as a mini camper, to show off your adventurous side in a new light!

8. “Wish You Were Here” Mural - Located on the corner of Palafox and Romana in Pensacola, this mural will let all of your friends back home know that you were thinking of them and of course, wishing you were here.

9. Picnic Beach - A tasty bite to eat and a cute aesthetic, what more could you want? Just imagine holding your smoothie outside, sitting on a white picnic table surrounded by palm trees, and soaking in the fact that you have arrived in paradise. Picnic Beach in Gulf Shores is the kind of location that all of those Instagram models find to eat at and leave you wondering how they make sitting down and eating look like the most angelic act. Practice being your favorite blogger while you are here, and after you take all of those perfect pictures, don’t forget to try what is on your plate. You won’t regret it!

10. The Graffiti Bridge - An edgy and artistic look for your photoshoot setting is exactly what you will find at The Graffiti Bridge. Fun fact: the bridge has its own Instagram page, so be sure to tag them in your post!

11. Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach - Home to beautiful weddings and stunning local art, this is the perfect place to just lay down a blanket and unpack the snacks and let the kiddos run around under the trees and relax. Take some shots of them running around and being silly, instead of the standard “cheese” picture.

So go out and enjoy some or all of our favorite spots while you are on your summer vacation - and be sure to tag Liquid Life in all of your favorite photos!
